A bilingual site, German and Romanian, for FGM DIN EUROTRADE: an epoxy flooring subcontractor working on construction sites in Germany.
FGM DIN EUROTRADE is a company in Pitești, founded in 2021, laying sections of epoxy flooring on construction sites in Germany. It doesn't sell to consumers: its customer is the general contractor looking for a subcontractor to hand part of the job to.
That decided everything. Someone choosing subcontractors looks for competence and reliability, not for pretty photographs. And a Romanian company on the German market starts with a trust deficit the site has to close in the first screen.
What I built
Piece by piece
Written for Germans, not translated at them
German is the site's first language, with Romanian second. The first line under the headline says it openly — “Pitești (RO) · projects in Germany”. It doesn't hide where the company comes from, it states it. That is more convincing than any attempt to look local.
German typesetting, down to the detail
The headlines carry soft hyphens placed by hand inside the long compound words — “Industrieböden”, “Epoxidharzsysteme”. Without them, German breaks lines badly on a phone. It is the kind of thing nobody notices and everybody feels.
Declared as a construction business, not as a generic one
The structured data uses HomeAndConstructionBusiness together with ProfessionalService, plus WebSite and FAQPage. Google gets the exact construction category, not the general label everybody else puts on.
Light to the point of absurd
The whole home page is 49 KB, with four scripts and two stylesheets. All eleven images load lazily and all of them have alt text. Plus an llms.txt that explains the company in terms an AI assistant can use.
