From me
A website isn’t a statue, it’s a living thing: plugins updating themselves, things breaking, attacks arriving out of nowhere. Left to itself, it goes downhill slowly, without you noticing until it’s too late.
Maintenance isn’t a bill anyone enjoys paying, I know. But it’s the difference between a site that runs for years and one you repair from crisis to crisis. I’d rather prevent than put out fires.
