From me
The fastest way to wreck a WordPress site is to fill it with plugins. Twenty or thirty of them, from who knows whom, fighting each other, making the site slow and opening doors for attackers. Every extra plugin is one more thing to worry about.
I build the plugin you actually need, clean and with nothing in it that shouldn't be. Code of your own, light and safe, instead of three generic plugins stacked on top of each other. And if you already have one that almost works, fixing or extending it often beats going off to find another.
